NVAPC Grants STA Appeal for 10249 Plainview!

This afternoon, the North Valley Area Planning Commission agreed with the STA and granted our Appeal against the Classic Collision Center (CCC) on the corner of Plainview and Apperson. CCC was seeking to expand their 3800 foot auto center and add over 19,000 sq ft. including a 30 ft tall building. This would have been a whopping 615% increase in size on streets that contain multi family apartments/condos and single family homes. The appeal was granted on the grounds that the building was not compatible with the surrounding area and not in conformity with the community plan. The applicant will now have to start over with a new application. Our deepest thanks to Councilman Paul Krekorian for supporting the community on this matter, and for CD2 Planning Director Daniel Brumer for all of his assistance! Also major kudos to Dean Sherer for making the presentation today to the commissioners on behalf of the STA. And of course, thanks to Abby Diamond and Cindy Cleghorn for their work on the original Appeals.
Great work everyone! For more background on this case you can read the STA appeals at the following links;

    Congratulations and kudos to all. Dean’s presentation was superior, I am told – dogs versus thunder kept me at home, but I missed a great day at the North Valley Area Planning Commission. Miracles Happen under the Paul Krekorian Administration with Special Thanks to Daniel Brumer, Elaine
