Special Town Hall Meeting – Mud, Debris Flow and Flood Response

A town hall meeting will be held to address the concerns of residents living in burn areas who are at risk of being impacted by debris flow and flooding due to the recent Sayre, Sesnon-Marek, and Station Fires.

Speakers include representatives from:
• Los Angeles City Fire Department
• Los Angeles City Police Department
• Los Angeles Emergency Management Department
• Los Angeles City Engineering Department
• County of Los Angeles Public Works

During periods of rainy weather, there is an increased risk that mud and debris can flow from previously burned canyon and hillside areas into residential areas. Those areas are indicated on a series of 22 maps published by the Los Angeles Emergency Management Department.
