Update from Abby 2/9/08

The Yard & Bake Sale was a GREAT Success!

We had a great turnout today! It was so exciting to see all the wonderful home baked goodies come in. We had all kinds of tasty treats to choose from. I was especially impressed with the homemade chocolate lollipops with happy faces and daisy designs. It was really fun to meet all the folks from the Foothills Forum – so many contributed to the success of the day. In fact, two former S-T residents came up from Burbank to help out. I’ll have a few photos to share with you later. We sold all kinds of stuff, the weather couldn’t have been more perfect, and a good time was had by all. We far exceeded our fund raising goals, and had so much fun, we just might do another sale in time for Mother’s Day. Thanks to everyone in the community for coming together and making it a very special day.

I couldn’t have been more impressed with the cheeful ness of those on both sides of the Bake Sale Table willing to be a part of a great community come together for the better of S-T.
The STA has a way of bringing out the best in everyone.
Thank you for all YOU do STA.

  2. Congratulations on the first ever STA Fun-Raiser. Sounds like Carol’s blueberry muffins were excellent and I heard a rumor that ‘anything bananas’ is a hot item for one of the regulars on TheFoothillsForum. I’ll have to make a mental note of that.

    Great job one and all!

  3. Thank you so much to everyone who donated their time and items. It was definately a community effort. Thanks Sunland Tujunga once again for stepping up and showing how truly great you really are! YOU ROCK!

  4. It was a blast. I highly recommend participating in this kind of fun raiser. It really was fun! I am still stuffed and pooped and expelled from Jenny Craig! LOL. Really, it was great! I missed tasting those Peanut Butter cookies, darn!!!! Let’s do it again! For sure! Geeez………”for sure”……ahhh…the Valley Girl in me comes out at strange times! But, May works for me, and I will volunteer again. I loved it. Hugs, Tomi

  5. I have such a great affection for our community! Thanks to all that worked so hard to make this happen!

  6. Any ideas when the STA might sponsor another one?
