/ Saturday, February 16, 2013Thanks for alerting me to the Pilot Program (L.A. River Rec Zone for Glendale Narrows).
I looked through the PowerPoint presentation and think it’s a great idea. Certainly, Angelenos need a lot more recreational areas and greater access to the L.A. River. Just about every recreational area, especially where there’s water, in the L.A. area is very, very well-used. No question Angelenos need more contact with nature so that they can de-stress and so that kids can have the freedom to run around.
I hope that they allow dogs, but provide “doggy bags” and trash cans. I’m not a dog owner myself, but I know how important it can be for people who have dogs to enjoy the outdoors with them. In any event, lots of trash cans and a service for emptying them, with or without dogs, will make the pilot program more successful.
Thanks again for relaying this info to me. I’d appreciate your relaying my e-mail to the Hearing Officer for the public hearing.
Sincerely,
Alexandra Hopkins, co-owner
